Nokia – Taking back scheme from July’09 (Recycling of phones)


Nokia company has decided to take back the scheme from the country India, regarding the recycling of phones. Finally, it has been decided that the company will take back your useless mobiles and plant a tree in your name. The company wants to take a serious move to get release from trash phones, which stick untouched in many houses. The company is also helping Indians in many different ways. Example- One of its worthy service known as Nokia life tools has helped Maharashtra farmers on the ground.


Nokia plays a vital role in connecting people’s lives by new and better techniques through different devices and services that they love to apply and improvise individual lives. Only in the Indian arena, Nokia has been taking back the phone recycling program because as per a survey, India was at the bottom showing only 17% knowledge about recyclability of phones. In return of old phones and accessories, Nokia will be presenting surprise gifts and plant a tree in case of every handset ceded.


Apart from this all, now Nokia is planning to project action in electronic waste management priory targeted at India. This action will be applicable in country very soon and afterwards move across other countries in well organized manner. In just one line, the company has been trying to apply the best practices in the country. Let’s appreciate this noble cause started by Nokia…
